As Lotus retires its current generation of admittedly aging sports cars, to move to a new electric future, Jay Leno gets behind the wheel of an Evora GT. Powered by a Toyota sourced 3.5-litre supercharged V6 the Evora GT is blessed with 416bhp and 430Nm of torque (317 lb-ft). Which is not a lot of power for a modern supercar.
Therefore we would class the Evora GT as a sports coupe with a lot of oomph, not quite a supercar but technically a supercar because the Lotus heritage is all about supercars. But in this day and age, a supercar has to have at least 500bhp at a minimum.
However, the Evora GT has a trick up its sleeve. Handling, chassis control and ride. No other car manufacture can dial in a car better than Lotus.
