The Exige 430, isn’t upgraded in terms of performance, the 3.5-litre supercharged V6 is unaltered
That means history does repeat itself, which means the performance stats remain the same, 0-60 in 3.2 seconds, top speed is 180mph same which is funneled through a six-speed manual gearbox.
In fact, nothing has been upgraded mechanically speaking. The only upgrade you do get is a paint scheme that references the Type 25 F1 car.
The Exige 430 can be specified in either metallic Lotus Racing Green or Old English White with contrast pinstriping on the front splitter, front access panel, new and unique bargeboards, roof panel and rear wing, as well as unique decals on each rear buttress.
Standard equipment includes air conditioning, an in-car entertainment system, including iPod® connectivity and Bluetooth® functionality, cruise control, a full carpet set and floor mats.
The standard Exige is exhilarating enough but the 430 Cup amps up the experience, the Exige is for the road but really built for the track where it excels.
While the interior is virtually unchanged from the original Elise, the Exige cup is extensively trimmed with Alcantara, and you get a wooden gearknob to further reference 1963.
Lotus will only make 25 Exige Cup 430 Type 25 examples, and they won’t be cheap with each one costing £110,000.
