We could have have used the headline ”Germany Invades Holland” but for the sake of the EU and intercontinental harmony we decided go for a much safer option. On the Sunday morning just gone, a German tourist, possibly having just visited a legal cannabis cafe, lost control of his Audi R8.
The most probable explanation was that the R8 owner had just participated in a Cannabis & Coffee meetup and in a mind-altered state mistook Holland’s many canal systems for a runway.
Whatever was going on in his ‘groovy’ mind altered state one thing is certain, he just totalled a brand new R8 worth £155,000 GBP.
The driver swam away unharmed, the R8… having driven an R8 I can say these cars can snap on you if you don’t treat them with respect. So be warned.
