Bentley haven’t released a hardcore spit in your face superfast version of the GT since the GT3-R and is need of morphine injection, their addiction to high octane performance models knows no boundaries. Little is known about this ultra performance version of the GT other than it will be more powerful than the GT3-R. The GT3-R is/was/is all about the 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8, good for 572bhp and good for giving performance gains of 170mph unrestricted and a 0-62mph time of 3.8 seconds. Weight saving measures like a carbon fibre propshaft allowed the GT3-R to weigh in at 1,295kg which is better than most hypercars, not bad considering the Continental is a large luxury GT coupe. So the Continental GT3-R is/was/is a proper sports coupe. But it’s successor will be more powerful power is likely to be increased to around 600bhp. But that’s still less powerful the most powerful Continental GT of them all. The GT Supersports with it’s W12 churned out 621hp. So why are we/they/you getting excited by a less powerful car than the Continental GT Superports.
